Happy Friday! We are both looking forward to weekends outdoors with our families – Holly by the river and Shauna in the mountains. For the first time this year, we are both in our home state of New York and will be together next week for a new exciting GMG project, (details to come later)!
Here are a few things that brought smiles to our faces this week.
Holly: Ever since I had this drink last week, I have been completely obsessed with lavender. I picked up some fresh lavender at the farmer’s market this past weekend and have been adding it to everything. My favorite addition has been to my cashew cream cheese, it’s delicious on toast and feels so fancy and decadent.
Shauna: Lots of great family time. It’s the first time we’ve all had the opportunity to be together for a family trip in a few years and I’m very grateful to be here in the Adirondacks with everyone.
H: Again with my search for more moisture! If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you are probably aware that since my move to high desert Idaho last spring, I’ve been on the search for all things hydrating. My latest score is a pure Argan oil hair treatment. I add it to my ends after I shower and it keeps them moisturized without weighing my hair down too much.
S: Holy smokes – it’s peach season. Definitely pick some of these bad boys up next time you spot them! I am looking forward to grilling peaches with a dash of cinnamon and serving them with fresh basil as a nice side dish.
H: My students. Every time I step to the front of the classroom I feel humbled and honored to lead my students in breath and movement. This week though I was overtaken with special moments during my classes, the best was during the start of class I had my students laying on their backs with their hands together in prayer, as I stood up all I saw was a sea of prayer hands. It was perfect.
S: Moccasins, baseball caps, wine by the lake, camp fires, sunsets and vegan s’mores! Love the Adirondacks 🌲
Have a great weekend, see you on Monday!
