Monday Mantra: Because I Want To

There are a million reasons why I shouldn’t do something. And one reason why I should.

Because I want to.

That’s what today’s mantra is for. Simple and to the point. ‘Nuff said.

We can get ourselves lost in decision making. We can consider rational questions that—I can’t argue—are important. But thinking and rethinking and weighing outcomes and imagining scenarios isn’t the only process for decision making.

Sometimes you have to make a decision with faith.

Sometimes there’s a question that you can’t answer with rationale. The urge is there and its your duty—as a mindful, spiritual, awake human to listen to that urge. When you listen to the (sometimes small) voice inside that is calling you to do something, you’re building trust with your inner voice. You’re strengthening the connection you have to your highest Self, the one that trusts, that knows she’s going to be okay, that knows that leaps of faith are worth it.

There are a million reasons why I shouldn’t do something ..

and one reason why I should.

Because I want to.

That’s enough.

There are a million reasons

not to do something.

And one reason to do it.

Because you want to.

Trust in that instinct.

Have a happy & healthy week.

Love,

Holly
