Good-on-everything Peanut Sauce

Holly and I had a conversation recently on peanut sauce – we both love it! Turns out, our recipes are practically identical! This sauce is super easy to whip up and makes for a delicious weeknight meal. 

What helps tie everything together in this particular recipe is a teeny bit of chickpea miso. Miso is a fermented paste that gives dishes a bit of an umami boost – it also is great for gut health and can last pretty much forever in your fridge.

Good-on-everything Peanut Sauce

  • 1 small clove garlic
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons tamari
  • ½ teaspoon chickpea miso
  • ½ teaspoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne
  • Dash of salt

Combine garlic, peanut butter, ginger, vegetable broth, tamari, chickpea miso, rice vinegar, maple syrup, and cayenne in a Vitamix/blender. Blend on high until thoroughly combined.

It works well on everything from salads, stir-fries, to rice and noodle dishes. Yum!
